High-Temperature Resistance "C" type Lifting Hook for Steel Spring Plant
Classification:
Product Introduction
When lifting springs in a steel spring factory, the C-type hook needs to be customized according to the spring ring structure, weight range, and working environment.

Key Selection Criteria
Load and Safety Factor
Spring weight typically ranges from 0.5 to 5 tons (hot-coiled springs can weigh over 500 kg each, see Summary 8). The dynamic load factor (1.1-1.3) must be considered, and a safety factor of 4 or greater is recommended (based on the 3 times factor in Summary 1, taking into account the spring's ease of sliding). For example, for a 1-ton spring, the calculated load is 1 × 1.3 = 1.3 tons, requiring a C-type hook with a rated load of 1.3 × 4 = 5.2 tons or greater.
For loads ≤ 3 tons, select a Type I C-type hook; for loads > 3 tons, select a Type II C-type hook (made of low-carbon, high-quality alloy steel, see Summary 1 and 6).
Spring Compatibility
The hook opening must be ≥ the spring's outer diameter + 50 mm (e.g., for a φ500 mm spring, the hook opening should be ≥ 550 mm, see Summary 7) to ensure smooth spring insertion. The hook length should be ≥ 1.2 times the spring length (e.g., for a 1.6-meter-long spring, the hook should be ≥ 1.92 meters to prevent the spring ends from swaying during lifting).
Environmental Adaptability
Hot-coiled springs (temperature ≤ 800°C): The hook is ceramic-coated (to protect against heat radiation), and the inner protective pad is made of high-temperature-resistant rubber (About 5).
Humid/Corrosive Environments: The hook surface is hot-dip galvanized (zinc coating ≥ 85μm, Abstract 2).
II. Structural Design Key Points
Reinforced Anti-Slip Design
Intelligent Pressure Plate (for large springs): Refer to Abstract 8. After the hook rotates 90° and fits into the spring gap, a pneumatic pressure plate automatically compresses the spring end face, and the auxiliary pressure spring provides mechanical locking (increasing the anti-slip success rate by 95%).
Self-Locking Hook (for small springs): A spring steel plate is built into the hook mouth, which automatically locks the spring during lifting (About 12), preventing swaying and unhooking. Protection and Fitting Details
A 50mm thick wear-resistant rubber pad (Note 2) is attached to the inside of the hook body to reduce scratches on the spring surface and increase friction by 30%.
A counterweight (Note 6) ensures that the center of gravity of the hook and spring coincide, ensuring a lifting tilt of ≤0.5°.
Intelligent Control Module (Optional)
An angle sensor and position sensor (Note 8) are installed to precisely control the hook's rotation angle (tolerance ≤1°) and ensure proper spring clearance.
