Single girder Rubber Tyred Gantry Crane ( RTG)
Single girder tyred gantry crane is a common lifting equipment.
Advantages:
simple structure, light weight, relatively low manufacturing cost; easy installation and disassembly, can be quickly deployed to the required workplace; good mobility, tire-type walking mechanism allows it to move freely under different ground conditions, no need to lay tracks, suitable for various temporary or mobile workplaces; flexible operation, the lifting and running actions can be accurately controlled by the electrical control system to improve work efficiency.
Disadvantages:
The bearing capacity of the single-beam structure is relatively limited, generally suitable for occasions with small lifting weights, usually between 5-20 tons; due to the relatively small support area of the tire and the high center of gravity of the gantry crane, the stability is relatively poor when lifting heavy objects, especially when working on high loads or uneven ground, additional stabilization measures are required; tires are easy to wear and need to be regularly inspected and replaced, which increases maintenance costs. At the same time, in severe weather conditions, such as heavy snow, water accumulation or muddy roads, the grip of the tires will be affected, resulting in a decrease in the operating performance of the equipment.
Scope of application:
Warehouses and logistics centers:
used for loading, unloading, handling and stacking of goods. It can quickly and efficiently unload goods from transport vehicles and place them at designated locations, or take goods out of warehouses and load them onto transport vehicles, improving logistics operation efficiency.
Construction sites:
During the construction process, it can be used to hoist construction materials such as steel, wood, prefabricated components, etc. It can also be used to hoist construction equipment and tools to facilitate construction personnel to perform high-altitude operations.
Industrial plants:
suitable for production lines within factories, lifting raw materials or semi-finished products to designated processing locations, or lifting finished products to warehouses for storage. It can also be used for equipment installation, commissioning and maintenance.
Ports and docks:
used for cargo loading and unloading operations at small ports or docks, such as lifting small containers, bulk cargo, etc. Although its lifting capacity is relatively small, it has high flexibility and can operate in a limited space.
