E.O.T Crane for Out-door Work

The structure of a single-beam bridge crane is relatively simple, consisting of a main beam and legs or end beams at both ends. It is light in overall weight, easy to transport and install, and can reduce the difficulty and cost of transportation and installation at outdoor construction sites. The bridge runs longitudinally along the elevated tracks on both sides, making full use of the space below the bridge to lift materials without being hindered by ground equipment, and can operate flexibly in limited outdoor spaces.

Product Introduction

 E.O.T Crane for Out-door Work

Bridge cranes used for outdoor operations are lifting equipment specially adapted to complex open-air environments and are widely used in ports, construction sites, mines, metallurgy and other scenarios.

Core features of outdoor bridge cranes:
Weather-resistant structural design
The main beam is welded with high-strength steel (such as Q355B), and the surface is sandblasted to remove rust and coated with multi-layer anti-corrosion paint (primer + intermediate paint + topcoat), which can resist erosion by rain, snow, ultraviolet rays, high temperature or low temperature (usually adapted to -20℃~+40℃).
The electrical system uses waterproof and dustproof components (protection level IP54 and above) to avoid the influence of outdoor moisture and dust on the circuit.
Windproof and anti-overturning ability
Equipped with windproof track clamps (automatic or manual), clamp the track to prevent slippage when the wind speed exceeds the specified value (usually 10.8m/s);
Large bridge cranes are equipped with anchoring devices to fix the equipment to the ground anchor point through steel cables or pins to cope with storms;
Some models are designed with low center of gravity structure to reduce the risk of overturning in strong winds.
Operation range and flexibility:
The span of the main beam can be customized (commonly 10~50 meters), covering wide outdoor areas;
The trolley runs longitudinally along the track, and the trolley moves horizontally along the main beam, cooperating with the lifting mechanism to realize the handling of heavy objects in three-dimensional space, adapting to irregular site operations.
Safety protection system
Basic protection: lifting weight limiter (automatic shutdown when overloaded), lifting height limiter, trolley/trolley travel limiter;
Special outdoor needs: wind speed alarm (real-time monitoring of wind speed and early warning), rain cover (protection of motor and transmission components), anti-slip pedal (to ensure the safety of operators in rainy and snowy weather).

Precautions for outdoor operations
Regular maintenance:
Weekly check windbreaks, track flatness (outdoor tracks are susceptible to settlement), and wire rope wear (rainwater may accelerate rust);
Add high and low temperature resistant grease to transmission parts (gears, bearings) every month to prevent grease from solidifying at low temperatures.
Response to extreme weather:
Stop operations in heavy rain, lightning, and typhoon weather, anchor the equipment and cut off the power supply;
In cold areas in winter, check whether the braking system fails due to ice, and install a heating device if necessary.
Site adaptation:
The track foundation must be solid (concrete or steel structure) to prevent track deformation caused by outdoor ground settlement;
In windy areas, the lateral support of the track should be increased to enhance the wind resistance and stability of the equipment.
