Clamp Lifting Device for Lifting "H" Steel in Steel Plant
Classification:
Product Introduction
In steel mills, H-shaped steel is widely used in heavy structures, bridges, mechanical frames, etc. due to its structural characteristics of wide flanges, thin webs, and uniform cross-sections (flanges are perpendicular to the webs). Its lifting requires special clamps and slings - such slings must be precisely adapted to the "wide flanges and thin webs" characteristics of H-shaped steel, ensuring that the clamps are firmly clamped and do not slip, while avoiding crushing the flanges or causing deformation of the webs. At the same time, they must withstand the harsh environment of high temperature, dust, and heavy loads in steel mills.

Special clamps and slings for lifting H-beams in steel plants
According to the specifications of H-beams (such as wide flange HW, middle flange HM, narrow flange HN), lifting methods (horizontal/vertical) and operation scenarios (transfer after hot rolling, finished product stacking, loading, etc.), common slings can be divided into:
1. Flange automatic centering clamps (preferred for horizontal lifting)
Applicable scenarios: Horizontal lifting of single or parallel H-beams in steel plants (accounting for more than 90%), such as transfer from rolling production lines to cooling areas and finished product warehouses.
Advantages: strong versatility (the same clamp can adapt to a variety of H-beam specifications), convenient operation (no manual alignment required), suitable for mixed flow lifting scenarios of multiple specifications of H-beams in steel plants.
2. Hydraulic synchronous clamp (heavy load/precision lifting)
Applicable scenarios: lifting heavy H-shaped steel (such as HW400×400 or above, a single 6-meter-long steel weighing more than 5 tons) or scenarios that require precise positioning (such as lifting H-shaped steel at welding stations).
Advantages: stable clamping force and strong controllability, suitable for lifting heavy-loaded H-shaped steel or precision processing links in steel plants.
3. Special clamp for vertical stacking
Applicable scenarios: vertical stacking of H-shaped steel (saving warehouse space) or lifting during vertical welding and processing (such as prefabrication of steel structure columns).
Note: Only suitable for single lifting, and the flange thickness must be ≥8mm (to avoid flange deformation during clamping).
4. Multiple parallel clamps (batch transfer)
Applicable scenarios: The finished product warehouse of the steel plant lifts multiple H-shaped steels of the same specification (such as light models such as HN200×100) in batches (3-6 at a time) to improve the efficiency of loading and warehousing.
Advantages: The efficiency is 2-3 times higher than that of a single lifting, which is suitable for centralized transfer before export of steel plants.
5. Special clamps for hot-rolled high-temperature H-shaped steel
Applicable scenarios: Directly lift the high-temperature H-shaped steel (temperature 500-900℃) that has just been rolled from the rolling mill, which is suitable for the "hot loading and hot delivery" process of the steel plant (reducing cooling time and reducing energy consumption).
Advantages: It can directly contact high-temperature workpieces and is suitable for the continuous operation of the hot rolling production line of the steel plant.
